Via rantavation, I learned about Senator Joe Biden's belief in our readiness to sacrifice:

I think the American people are ready to sacrifice to win, and I think if we went back to the American people and said, 'Look, the very wealthiest among us, we're going to postpone your tax cut a year or two to pay for this,' I think they would embrace it.

With all due respect to the Senator, does he realize how unAmerican that sounds? Where is the fairness in making the wealthy minority sacrifice their hard-earned tax-cuts? These people are working their asses off to rev up our nation's economy, for which they deserve our loyal support and, rather than bellyaching about the jobless recovery, unemployed Americans ought to be proud of sacrificing their livelihoods for the country. Isn't that what patriotism is all about?
