My President says:

The attack in London was an attack on the civilized world, and the civilized world is united in its resolve: We will not yield, we will defend our freedom.

His loyal British Subject said of the terrorists:

...they will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear in this country and other civilized nations throughout the world.

I don't know what they know, but I suspect that Red Ken's statement hints at what this civilized world might be like:

...the city of London is the greatest in the world, because everybody lives side by side in harmony. Londoners will not be divided by this cowardly attack. They will stand together in solidarity alongside those who have been injured and those who have been bereaved and that is why I'm proud to be the mayor of that city.

So, it looks like Messrs. President & Subject want us to start getting civilized as well, despite our need to out-uncivilize the presumably uncivilized "men with blind hatred and armed with lethal weapons who are capable of any atrocity" and anyone who looks like them. But it's all going to be different from now on. No more indefinite detentions of dubiously identified "material witnesses." I guess treating people this way because they are Muslim men makes it difficult to achieve the harmony in their respective communities that being civilized calls for.

Why, my wise Pundit tells me that even terrorists, murderers and bad people are about to be freed! I'd be completely lost in this newly emerging civilization if it weren't for a certain inspiring, Nobel Peace Prize worthy Poor Man, who enlightened me about what my place in this new world might be.
